Education

Finland is known for design, engineering skills and the quality made in Finland – it is the high tech leader in the North and home for biggest data centers in the world. By selecting Finland as the location for data center and cloud services you can trust that everything works here and you can feel that people are committed to your target and design is world class.

FDCF aims to support and improve education and research in the data center and cloud areas

The Finnish education system is highly valued and awarded. Quality education is the driving force of digital success in Finland. There is no single line of training as a data center expert, but a wide range of skills and training are required. School institutions plan training entities in cooperation with data center actors e.g. Ekami and Google together. Finland has researchers and engineers as well as a qualified and productive workforce.

Schools and Universities are a vital part of FDCF’s ecosystem

Technology develops on daily basis and data center field is changing fast. At FDCF we think that life is continuous education and therefore Schools and Universities are a vital part of FDCF’s ecosystem. Our vision is to increase awareness of data center related business on a national and international level and to secure skilled resources for the growing business area. In order to make this happen we co-operate with schools and universities in Finland by creating more data center related knowledge and help educational institutions to educate professionals to work in the data center field.

FDCF has tight cooperation with some universities for example by helping students in showcasing their final thesis, inviting students to our seminars, arranging events in Universities, arranging skilled trainers to Universities and helping to find a job in the data center field. FDCF’s events, seminars and digital conversation forums are open to all of our members. FDCF’s digital forum enables different stakeholders to discuss and share the knowledge and experiences in the data center field.
