CSC – IT Center for Science is a non-profit state enterprise with special tasks. It is owned by the Finnish government and higher education institutions. We develop and offer high-quality ICT services for research, education, culture, public administration and companies to enhance our customers’ success and ultimately benefit the whole society.
CSC’s data management and computing environment provides modern and environmentally friendly tools for solving the scientific grand challenges. LUMI, one of the EuroHPC world-class supercomputers and leading platforms for artificial intelligence, is located at CSC’s data center in Kajaani, Finland. The supercomputer is hosted by the LUMI consortium including ten European countries.
Companies can make extensive use of high-performance computing (HPC) as part of product development and innovation activities. Up to 20% of the LUMI supercomputer’s capacity has been reserved for companies.
