In 2016, Pauli graduated as a Master of Science from energy technology program in Aalto University, and since December 2019, he has been doing PhD studies. In his research, he is focusing on sustainable district heating systems and waste heat utilization in district heating networks. Two of his first published articles investigated the decarbonization of Espoo district heating system by the help of recovered data center waste heat.
