Topical themes at the Spring Seminar

The FDCA Spring Seminar on 18 April attracted participants to the Musiikkitalo. The presentations at the seminar were very topical and also raised questions from the audience. Tomi Rantasaari (Managing Partner, Skyline Legal Oy) presented green electricity through Power Purchase Agreements, Jussi Kakkonen (CEO, Arctic impulse Oy) introduced us advanced cooling solutions and UPS integrations for sustainable operations. Finally, FDCA Board member Eero Lindqvist updated on the status of EED and reporting oblications.

After the seminar, it was time for the statutory Spring Meeting of the association. A total of 17 members attended the meeting, both on-site and remotely. Under the chairmanship of the president, the meeting went through both the annual report and the financial statements of the association. The annual report highlighted the increasingly professional nature of the activities and the increasing workload of the Association’s Board. Through the umbrella organisation of EUDCA, the influence on European legislation has increased significantly, not only because of the Energy Efficiency Directive. Nordic cooperation is becoming close and active, as evidenced by the joint Nordic section at the Datacloud Global Congress in Cannes, where each country’s association has its own section.

At the end of the meeting, the need to plan the financing of the association’s activities in order to make it possible to employ at least a part-time executive director in the future was discussed.

Thank you to the speakers and all participants!
